Been there done that.

A ciggie paper varies between 3 to 6 thou - I measured them in the past using a micrometer.

For gapping spark plugs use a hack-saw blade - very close to 25 thou.

A piece of cardboard from an old slide-out type fag box was around 15 thou range - near enough for setting ignition points.

Keep your old engine oil for lubricating leaf springs, treating a timber fence or burning in your old pot bellied stove.

Washing powder for removing oil stains from your driveway.

Rolled up newspaper for a one-use only funnel

Ah them were the days.
