Re: Megane II rear brakes

Hey thanks for replying m8. I am actually in Austria, so the shipping from EurocarParts and the currency conversion would kill the 25%
Anyway, I just bought ATE discs and pads so they should be on their way tomorrow.
I am interested in what you said about handbrake - it was really bad from the start and now both cables have somehow fell off from the inside throttle brake (the handbrake was rather loose).
However, it did seize once and I've been driving it without using it for about two months (yeah, I know, but no time). And also the car was not very driven before I took it (hence everything around brakes is seizing). I have two questions:
1. Is the handbrake mechanism spring loaded?
2. I would really like to avoid replacing a caliper for non-OEM one (bad experience in the past), and OEM are quite expensive I guess. Is it possible to service the old ones?
