Hi Jeroen and welcome.

To be fair, I'd be replacing the sealant on a 37 year old motorhome as a matter of course.

I would recommend any PU-based sealant, as it is fairly easy (if potentially messy) to apply.

The secret to getting a watertight seal, is removal of the old sealant, for that, I would use copious amounts of Gunwash and apply using a paintbrush over the seal.

Be careful not to get it onto the paintwork though, as it may lift that also.

At this time of the year, it won't be easy to get 2 consecutive dry days (one to remove the sealant, the other to apply it), but it can be done.



This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
