Thw flywheel sensor (
Sensor) is at the right hand sideof the engine above the gearbox bellhousing, it is a, for lack of a better word, banana shaped piece of metal which is held in place by two 10mm bolts and one electrical connector.
packs are another common fault, if you can smell petrol chances are it isnt being burnt and just builds up. Try a new
Theres also another common fault with the wiring loom at the back of the engine, the little black box rubs against the loom and damages the wires, My mate has to shake that box to get his clio to start!
