You will need to clarify with your insurers whether the extra 80 is for a full year, or for the duration of your existing policy (as that could make a bigger difference). Is it a system which is installed & hard-wired or a portable system? If it is portable, then its up to you to decide if you want to declare it - much the same as portable sat-nav systems, but as SportTourer correctly states, you may find that the insurance only allows a nominal value for standard cover.
