I had to get a Stop light extinguished after running out of diesel (1st time offence your honor.... first car whose fuel gauge's red area really does mean you're nearly empty), and after phoning around numerous auto electricians I had to resort to visiting the dealer.
They initially quoted £90 for an hour's labour (well sir it is an involved job and depending on the problem it can take some time), although after some common sense reasoning I got that down to £45. So you'll probably find that's the best you'll get from a dealer.
