As long as you completely remove the links and make sure the roll bar doesn't catch on anything,it should be perfectly safe to drive a short distance.
A commonly held misconception is that the anti-roll bar stops the car from rolling over (on to it's side/roof) when cornering hard.In fact,all it does it stops the car leaning over when cornering and provides better handling and flatter cornering.
