One disadvantage I found with doing this is, it makes you look a right plonker (or car thief) when it happens as you are driving. This situation is made worse if you don't notice it or can't pullover to sort it out.
You might find that PC Plod takes more of an interest in you/your vehicle if the larm goes off while in motion!
Not quite sure of your meaning.
I don't have any issue with the alarm going off when I'm driving.
When the car is unlocked, the alarm is deactivated.
I only unplugged the siren, it's been that way for four months now with no ill effects.
My car is A 1999 (V reg) 2.0 16V Grande Espace.
The alarm still 'goes off' for no clear reason from time to time, but with no siren it doesn't upset my neighbours.
