I know where you mean - Crantock is one of my favourite beaches. We like to go to the Bowgie for a drink in the summer - on a nice day you could be looking at the med the sea is torquoise and the sand white, you can't beat it.
We live in Newquay. The rain has stopped today and the wind has died down a little, but it's the calm before the storm - from tomorrow lunchtime the wind & rain are back.
You could say that is one disadvantage of living on the North Cornish coast - any rough weather coming in off the Atlantic and we get it.

Yes, tragically the 24 yr old lad that got swept out to sea has not been found. All searches have been called off.
