I have been trying to source MkIV roof bars/spoiler for my dci Expression - not much luck so far, apart from Renault themselves (obviously colour coding comes into this).
Does anyone know if they are actually really worth having, or would good quality Thule bars serve just as well.
I went for the Thule bars as they are flat for the full width of the car, I chose the rectangular section as it meant that i could attach stuff to them easier. Both bars can be removed in a minute or so meaning that your fuel consumption will not affected...but leaving the base blocks in position looks a bit sad. The only gripe is that the fitting into the T slot is a bit fiddly and the "nuts" will work loose if they are not careully positioned.
All I need now is a collapsable step ladder (or box) to reach the roof.
