1. Seat belts will still pass the yank test but the pretensioner is a small charge that pulls the belt tightly in an impact to prevent you flying forward. This is a once only deal and will need to be replaced or you will have no pretensioner in the event of another accident.

2. Most cars i know store crash data in an ecu that cannot be wiped, the crash ecu needs to be replaced to get rid of fault light.

3. Agree with MadNoel, can of worms especially if insurers get to know its been involved in a heavy accident and never declared, they will in all likelyhood invalidate your insurance.
