Question Lag II - Crackle, then no speaker sound?

Hi guys,

This morning I was driving for 5 mins and everything was ok with the stereo, was listening to the radio no problems. I went in to drop my daughter off at nursery and when I switched the car on, there was a small electric crackle came throught the speakers and then nothing.

I now can't get any sound from the radio/cd but the sat nav voice and the nagging woman's voice still work (windscreen washer level is low .. etc)

It's a Laguna II Privilege 1.9dci, 2002 plate.

I found an thread in the knowledge base about fuses, and it would appear that fuse F10 is for the radio. Could it just be a case of changing this? I would have thought though that if that was the case the radio would no longer operate at all? As it is just now, I can still eject cd's, change the channels on the radio etc fine but there is no sound at all.
