I believe the fuss over the sensors being a safety feature (please debate) started with Firestone Tyres and FORD Explorers in the States ... tyres were shredding on the move and there were some high profile crashes, deaths and lawsuits.

All of this prompted the introduction of the sensor technology (its not just pressure that they measure) and its appearance into mainstream cars the world over (manufacturers and Sh1t scared of being sued esp. in the States.)

Cant honestly remember where I got this, but I believe the EEC is to make it legislation in Europe sometime in 2008 or there abouts.

Just some info .... then again it may have been a dream, albeit a nightmare

Why is it the older I get .... the better I think I was ?
