ABS and Service light on Laguna.

Hi. I have searched the forum for answers to my ABS and service light problem. I couldn't find much on ABS module so I'm starting this new thread.
I have a Laguna 1.9dci. Recently my ABS and Service light keep coming on and sometimes they go out after a short drive, other times they both stay on. I had the diagnostic fault reader tell me there is a problem with the ABS Module. I am not familiar with this part. Is the car dangerous with this part being faulty? I'm asking because I always have kids in the car and because it's ABS and that worries me. Is the part also easy to replace and where is the part located.
Any help is really appreciated. Thanks.
