Solar Power battery charger

Hi All,

Happy New Year to all. I have purchased a Solar Powered Trickle Charger from Maplin Electronics and I wanted to connect this to my Lag's lighter socket to keep the battery topped up over the winter months, as my car doesnt get used a great deal during the week.

Does anyone know of a way to make the lighter sockets Live once the keyfob has been removed? I was wondering whether you could create a bridge within the fuse box?

Any suggestions would be most welcomed.
