Hi Inazone

Welcome and a Happy New Year to you

Don't be tempted to bridge any fuses you could cause odd
problems least of which engine will not switch off, best method
i can think off is to cut the wire for the cigarette lighter, insulate it to make it safe. Then find a feed from say the hazard lights,
which is live when ignition switch is off, run that to the cigarette lighter.

I can speak (type) with a bit of experience here as i have an
18watt solar panel on top of my campervan,in bright sunlight
it can give 0.5 amp charge, winter with no sun it just sits there doing nothing, especially when the seagulls have cr****ed on it.

Hope this helps.
Currently in Getafix's garage:
clean and shiny Scenic 2 1.6 16v Auto. (and a Fiat Campervan).
