Doesn't matter how long the part takes to arrive. You were well within the 3 month warranty period when you reported the fault and they agreed/arranged to put it right. The warranty gives you 3 months to find and report the fault, how long it takes to sort out is irrelevant.
One thing does sound a bit 'iffy' - if they 'forgot' to replace the panel after the service it would still be in their workshop, so why do they need to order a new one ?
