On mine they are shiny black rigid tubes leading from the pump that sits under the smaller cover Northwest (about 10 0'clock) looking from the front. Best thing to do is trace back from the injectors.

The mechmanic left it only half-way-in when he did my coils and it nearly caused a major disaster by spraying half a tank of petrol onto the V on the V6.... very scary and I have an injured foot and a headache (been a week already) from it to boot.

If this applies, all it needed was to be pushed back onto the stem till it clicks locked. I mentioned this because you said someone had worked on it recently, so worth checking.
