Sorry to hear it's happened to you too.
We are not letting it go, Watchdog have been in touch yesterday.
Your (or your parents') household insurance may offer legal help to take the case up with Renault. This would cover your excess (we have paid out £250 for our excess so far).
Could have been avoided if all owners had been warned to get the catches checked.
Ruined my driving confidence now as well - have hardly driven at all.
