The motoring press seem very preoccupied with how a car handles at the Nurburgring, which would only truly be relevant to the UK motorist if we were allowed to travel without a speed limit and our roads were equally smooth.

I can understand why in an emergency avoidance situation, you want your car as much 'on-side' as possible, but having to put up with a ride similar to catching a lift on a tea-tray down a flight of stairs for the remaining 99.99999% of the time seems a high and unnecessary price to pay.

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
