Re: Clio handbrake jammed on.

Clio rear brkes with drums are notorious for the linings delaminating - quite a common problem. It can even occur without any showing any outward noticable signs. When this occurs it can be difficult to get the drum off and you need a two-legged puller to help. I have even come across one scenario where it was necessary to destroy the drum for removal. You may be lucky enough to get away with replacing the shoes and cleaning the drum with emery. The metal of the drum is porous and tend to gather damp making the problem worse. This can be overcome by heating the drum gently with an hot air gun but keep the heat away form the central wheel bearing and oil seal.
