The lack of access in trying to change the bulbs on modern cars is down to the slam panels which are reinforced more tha older cars to meet safety standards. Yes the engine bays are cramped but the front panels are now double-skinned or something.
On some cars, I've heard you have to remove the whole headlight unit to change a bulb, and to remove the headlight in some cases requires the removal of the bumper! Dealer job only then - ways of making money!
The front panels are PLASTIC
Read previous post's before writing yours, cos what we have basically been talking about here is the need to remove the front bumper, to remove the haedlamp unit, to replace the bulb.
