I would doubt if your entire warranty would be voided, I believe it would extend to the items the warranty would've included, which need to be replaced/inspected at the missed service, or which would've failed as a direct result of the missed service. For example, lets just say that your warranty covers the engine, and because you exceeded the service life of the
& filter, the engine bores suffered premature wear and the engine started burning
- I would doubt if the warranty would cover you, because you would be held responsible for delaying the service. I would say that scenario is fair - after all, services do have relevance, and the line must be drawn somewhere. But for items that aren't covered by the service, you should be okay.
This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
