They should be self-bleeding, but it may take a lot of cranking to get all of the air out of the system. If I recall correctly, the manual says that you'll need a fully charged battery to get it going again.

Then there's a fair chance that you've dragged a load of crud out of the bottom of the tank into the fuel filter, so it wouldn't hurt to swap the filter for a new one. Beyond that, just keep cranking... and cranking... and cranking... Sooner or later it'll either start or you'll have yourself a flat battery.
