Re: 2010 scenic 1.5dci fuel gauge 'stuck'?

I would try putting a small amount of fuel in the car and see if it corrects itself.

Re: 2010 scenic 1.5dci fuel gauge 'stuck'?

Yea hey, the idea of putting some more fuel in worked!

So for future ref, scenic III:
1; don't switch ignition on whilst refueling
2; if your gauge sticks as a result of above another refill should sort it.

Thanks everyone, got there in the end.

Re: 2010 scenic 1.5dci fuel gauge 'stuck'?

I must admit,I've never had it happen to me personally, but many makes and models don't like being filled with fuel whilst the ignition is on.BMW's in particular are very sensitive to it,I guess we can add new Renaults to the list too!.

Thanks for the update and glad it's now working as it should,I'll move the thread to the Articles section now it's fixed in the hope that it will help out another member in the future.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
