it may be an ignition coil .

just got call from garage he told me i need new set of coils .
apparently 2 are nailed,1 is nearlly nailed,and he reccomends i have the other done anyway.
Not a main dealer but renault specialist,been to him before always been honest enough with me.
oh cost of 238 in total,just what i need 6 weeks before christmas.

I had the same problem,it' definetiley the ignition coil , i have got mine done yesterday one of the coil went wrong,it is now running perfect,cost me arount 70 pounds for one coil replacement.

Well it was an faulty ignition coil that was wrong with my Scenic.
Think i'll buy one one of this company Ignition Coils to keep as a spare.£18.21 each with three year warranty and free next day delivery.

No, I haven't solved it yet. A coil went a few weeks ago and I was worrying that I had damaged the cat. I am thinking it is maybe the lambda sensor and I'm going to replace it. It's running fine, which makes me think it's not a coil .
People who replaced the coils - were your cars running OK or were they running off a cylinder?
