Renault Scenic - Faulty Coils Causing Warning Light(Including General Info)*fixed*

I've a Scenic 1.4, 2001, 100K miles.
the exhaust gas monitoring light has come on. This is an indicator that looks like an engine. The manual says take it to a Renault dealer.
Has anyone any idea what this means? It sounds expensive...

Same thing happened yesterday to my 1.6 petrol Scenic, 51 reg, 45000 miles.
Just filled up with petrol at the local Tesco's and got a couple of minutes down the road and started running like a bag of nails and warning light flashed. Thought it was a bad fill of petrol at first or even put wrong petrol in.
Been told it could be lamda sensor, oxygen sensor or a cat problem. Either way it needs to get checked on the computer to find out. I'll find out on Monday.
