The blower is located to next to the cabinfilter under some foam. Pull the foam away then there is 3 screws to remove and 1 connector. One of these screws ( the one closest to the seat) is a pain in ass to locate/remove:-( . When this is done, just yank it out downwards.

Re: Renault Scenic I - Heater Fan Fix

hi. been been reading this very helpful thread but unfortunately I still can't solve my heating problem.

I bought my 99 scenic 1.4 rt about 3 months ago a cheap "get me out of a hole" car. it's been running fine until the heating stopped working about a week ago. it never worked on 4 but no problem on the other 3 speeds until it just stopped working last week.

I took off the blower and it works fine so I figured it must be the thermal fuse. someone at work attached them for me as per the instructions in this thread but still not working.

I assume he did it correctly. he bent the ends of the fuse and connected them to the arms from the resistor with Choc box connectors.

I have checked the normal fuse in the fusebox and assuming I got the right one (20 amp) it seems fine.

I'm now at a loss what to do.

could it be the switch? are there any other fuses I can check?

any help would be appreciated as it's getting a bit chilly in the mornings!

many thanks
Alan.
