Re: Renault Scenic I - Heater Fan Fix

Job done

I managed to get a replacement motor from the scrapyard, complete with the resistor pack for 20 this morning. That was easy because I just ripped the long bracket off with a huge pair of water pump pliers but I did have to be sensible and chop the end of the bracket on our own car with a hacksaw blade.

Old motor out - plus about half a litre of green water! - new motor in, dash back together in about half an hour.

Then I did the sensible thing and popped the wipers off, took off the black plastic trim under the windscreen and scraped out ten years' worth of gunk from around the well-blocked drain holes.

Thanks to this forum we now have warmth, conditioned air and a windscreen that we can actually see through.

Cheers,

Stuart

Re: Renault Scenic I - Heater Fan Fix

Hi guys.Need a bit of help with 2001 scenic 2.0

Fan started playing with me,sometimes being able to run and sometimes not. When it works-works perfectly at any speed. Its digital btw, every step is working...but when it decides to work at all.

Could it be that it gets no power since i installed amplifier and woofer in trunk 2 weeks ago? + im using dvd player as audio device for a 6 months now. Got woofer disconnected and still not working all the time. Im sure i didnt mess up any wires of ac controls since its under dvd player, and player has A LOT of wires...

What to do?Shop wants me to pay about 300euros for this, and i feel able to do it if i get some more advices.
