Thumbs up Re: Renault Scenic I - Heater Fan Fix

Thanks to all, Ben 1400 + all who put instruction to repair the heater blower fuse, manage to fix it apart from NS air duct needed a bit of yank to come out, and it was there, disconnect it and put new 128C thermal fuse from Maplin and blower is working now, i have attached the pics of before and after of the fuse which is connected with choc block for those who are like me takes a bit to understand the whole scenario, and wants to do DIY.

Re: Renault Scenic I - Heater Fan Fix

I've got a 2000 Scenic 1 phase 2 with aircon and digital heater controls the blower motor just stopped working I checked the resistor pack and have 12volts going in and out on 2 large wires at what I presume to be the motor I have a plug with 1 large red and 1 large black cable removing the plug I have 12 volts here also but the strange thing is if I turn the heater controls off I still get 12 volts at this plug so is this the right plug? its at the bottom of the motor under the dashboard passenger side covered by a foam moulded cover.

Re: Renault Scenic I - Heater Fan Fix

@divvydave.
I'm new to the scenic myself so I can't say anything about any specific cure but I don't think the heater is an MoT item (though apparantly you do need a demister - http://www.theminiforum.co.uk/forums...howtopic=76582) so if it was me I would see what else (if anything) it fails on and fix it if you intend to keep the car.
