Re: Renault Scenic I - Heater Fan Fix

Alot of useful information on this page but im unable to find out what is wrong with both my Megane '99 & Scenic I '02..

Scenic...

My Scenic heater seems to work ok on level 1&2, maybe a bit week but fine compared to level 3&4. but then when level 3 is turned on a large vibrating sound comes from the heater (location unknown) and yet, still not much air comes from the vents, then on level 4 a loud vibrating noise as well as the same blow as level 3 seems to happen?
Coming up to Winter its time to get it fixed because the air flow that comes out doesn't heat the windscreen, or in that fact the car in general.

Anyone happen to know the fix for this?

And the Megane....

the amount of air that comes from the vents on level 1,2,3&4 is next to nothing.

All help would be greatful

Talking Re: Renault Scenic I - Heater Fan Fix

This might be worth trying if you've got no blowers at all I have a mk1 phase 2 scenic. The problem was no blowers at all I saw the prices of the new pieces and decided to have a look myself.
Remove the blower motor(very easy on the scenic remove electrical connector and 3 small bolts turn 90 degrees and it drops into the footwell) on the bottom is 1 screw remove and plastic cover it took a bit of wiggling (tech term)it looked as if over the years water drips down into the cover which has no drain holes and all the crud covers the commutator so I gave it a good clean and hey presto one fully working heater blower COST 0
PS I drilled a drain hole in the platic cover before putting it back

Re: Renault Scenic I - Heater Fan Fix

How did you get the motor to drop out past the little black strip of metal. I have tried (as my motor seems to be the problem- no fan at all) but it just wont slip past the bl**dy thing ?
