Great thread, i require my rear brakes changing on my Scenic, but was told by a few mechanics, that even if they change the rear pads, my car will have to go back to the dealer to reset my system ?.

Is this true ?

Nope. If the job's done correctly there's no need for any resets.

Re: Scenic II rear brake pad replacement

HI all great post and very informative.

I am just about to do my rear brakes and discs on my scenic megane 02 plate . I did the fronts no problem yesterday well the first one took 1.5 hours and second one 40 mins ..lol

It will be interesting to see if my model is the same as the scenic model mentioned on here.

I will let you all know how it goes.

( lucky for me im doing it on my mates farm that has loads of tools so if all else fails the big hammer comes out ..lol )

Re: Scenic II rear brake pad replacement

\Great thread guy's. Loads of info.
Can anyone tell me if any of this info is the same for a 2005 dci Laguna.
Been quoted 25 for the wind back tool but there are 2 different one's, clockwise and anti clockwise! would be a bugger if i got the wrong one!
