Re: Renault Scenic 2 - Rear Brake Pad Replacement

Hadn't seen that one so thanks TTT for pointing it out.

As a suggestion on it, getting a spare plug from the scrapyard. Then a little wiring with a three way switch in a box and we have a home made, cheap, electric brake rewinder.

Re: Renault Scenic 2 - Rear Brake Pad Replacement

Good idea that lads, I'll put one of those together for future use. In the meantime I'd better get it done by renault as I've got a couple of years warranty on my car. I daren't mess it up and lose my warranty or the other half will kill me. Lol

Angry Re: Renault Scenic 2 - Rear Brake Pad Replacement

Just replaced my rear pads 2004 grand scenic now the electronic hand brake won't come on. Initially one side came on only with a loud squealing from the motor now there's nothing so I took off the control unit to see if the shaft had jammed but it was ok,both cable ends were in good condition and when it was all put back the levers on the back of the callipers were up against the stops and the cable length at each calliper the same but absolutely no noise from the motor. Is there a fuse for the hand brake or am I missing something .
