Just had mine repaired by Guyrogers69 trading on ebay , details below. I posted it Monday teatime, got a phone call Tuesday teatime saying it was fixed and being sent out to me. Delivered back on Wednesday morning.
It was a doddle to remove, the top panel gently prizes downwards with a small flat blade (I used a plastic spreader type tool) and then the lower section of dash surround prizes up with the same tool. Then 2 screws and unclipped the plugs, 5 minute job even though it was the first time I'd done it.

Hi all,
I had the same problem about a year ago with my '04 Scenic. The dash started flickering and after a few days died out.
My local Renault dealer (I live in Greece) asked for 1100 Euros (I nearly fainted) and gave a 6 month guarantee. Used dashes were priced around 600 Euros with no guarantee, of course.
I finally sent mine to ECUtesting and they repaired it for 195+ VAT + 20 postage costs, along with a 2 year guarantee.
The dash has worked for almost a year now without any problems.

Hi everyone

I got in the car today, and was also faced with the dreaded black display

I have read through these forums and am 99% certain that it is the display at fault (solder), I was just wondering whether anyones steering column radio control packed up at the same time, as ours has. I do not know whether this is another symptom of a dodgy dash or something else un-related, any advice on this greatly appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I appologise if this has already been mentioned and I have missed it.
