Re: Renault - Scenic - Starting Problem *fixed*

Hi I have a Scenic Megane 1.6 VVT 2004 reg and have intermittent starting problems and some times the engine cuts out at junctions.

The diagnostic reports the Refrigerant needs topping up? Also The car card although it has new batteries in both cards says on the dashboard the batteries need replacing.

The headlight dim/dip switch and front fog lights also have an intermittent fault and sometimes don't work.

My mechanic has enquired and seems too think the TDC cm sensor is the starting problem although the diagnostic does not show it and also the main ECU could be causing the other problems.

Has someone had similar problems?

Re: Renault - Scenic - Starting Problem *fixed*

Hi All, would it be possible to please get confirmation where exactly the TDC sensor is located in a Scenic II 1.5 DCI 80 ('04 reg)?
I've seen the thread locating it above the gearbox housing on the end of the block but I can't see it there.
Thanks a mil.
