Hello forum members, back again and in trouble. Towing caravan back from Lochgilphead yesterday. Engine suddenly lost power, coil warning light came on. Limped home to Paisley, foot flat to floor, would not go above 20 on the slightest incline. My wife and I were stressed out when we eventually got home.
Looks like I need to go to the local garage. (I have not fiddled with an engine for ten years.)
Not Renault main dealer. I have not been back there since they tried to replace my complete rear brake set -up for several hundred quid. I checked with good local mechanic, nothing wrong with the brakes and that was 20,000 ago.
I will keep you posted about my engine.

Re: Scenic - Diesel - Loosing Power *fixed*

Hey terry did you ever find out what was the problem cleaned my EGR Valle just about to have the mad sensor replaced as I am also having this problem seems it is something all these scenic have maybe Renault should list this as a common fault and replace them. Also can someone give me a clear pic of the mad sensor location and could I replace it my self ?
