Re: Scenic condensation

Have done mine recently, that sloshing sound the reservoir of some considerable water in the scuttle section. Water is able to overwhelm the bulkhead you can see insulation in the engine compartment into the dashboard where over time with just the sheer volume the water is able to get in.

The floor pan was full of water, to the extent that the plastic bungs located in the footwell were used to let the water out. Some electrical connections need to be repaired now in the process of doing this. The forum has been invaluable in bringing this problem to my attention plus the method of repair.

Many Thanks. John.

Re: Scenic condensation

Hi, I have an issue with water in the passengers side footwell. The carpet isn't soaking, just slightly wet. However, underneather the carpet, the underlay is soaking and there is a puddle maybe half a CM deep. The upper part of the underlay that curves towards the glove compartment actually isn't wet - does this mean that it is not anything to do with the scuttle drains or pollen filter? Had my windscreen changed a few months ago by autoglass, is it likely that this is the cause of the issue?

Re: Scenic condensation

Check your scuttle first. Open your bonnet, dismount the scuttle and check if your drain isn't filled with c**p.

I just did it 20 min. ago and it took me a total of 5 min. cleaning the drains.
