Looking at your signature it says you have a 2.0tdci Mondeo - I assume this is the vehicle you are talking about?
and not a Laguna II dci?

Have you tried contacting Ford customer services - to see if they will contribute in any way.
I know the car is now out of warranty but still has low miles for a turbo failure. You have nothuing to lose by asking, you never know they may offer something as a goodwill gesture.

Renault now offer in most cases full reimbursment for Laguna II dcis 4yrs old or younger,less than 100k on clock and full service history, for turbo replacements.
