2006 Renault scenic handbrake warning when used manually

Hi everyone. New here!
I have Renault scenic 2006. Passed its mot in august perfectly.
Last week I got the change oil soon warning, then today I have a parking brake failure warning. (Automatic handbrake)
Brakes seem fine and handbrake works. My drive is on a slope so definitely works!
Left the car for an hour after I had been out, started ignition, no warning. Drove off and let handbrake off automatically. Drove round the block fine. Parked up and turned engine off fine.
Started car again, no warning. Taken handbrake off manually and I get the warning.
Any ideas? Just paid to get the timing belt done and had 4 new tyres so hoping its a quick fix!
Thank you.
