Jacking tips for Scenic

I'd like to get my Scenic onto axle stands at the front. I have a decent trolley jack. The Haynes manual says to use only the jacking points and then to put stands under the jacking points.

So how do you you get the stand in place when the jack is at that jacking point?

On other cars I've worked on when you jack at the back, the front on same side raises by enough to allow you to place an axle stand. Is the Scenic similarly balanced?

Thanks for advice,
