Thank you so much for the clear and concise info. Did mine this morning - both drains blocked. Have spent more time sponging the water out of the footwell than it took to do the job. One wiper was firmly coroded onto the spine, and I did not have access to a puller, but it came off in the end. I do not condone doing this, but if you are really stuck and have to use a metal hammer on the wiper end to free it, the old trick is to screw the nut back on until it is flush with the end of the thread, then tap that - avoids damage to the end of the thread. Best use a copper faced hammer, or a puller, though.
