Hi there, I think the immobiliser is activated by the ignition circuit recognizing the key. If you turn the ignition on the
small red warning light by the fuel gauge should stay on for a few seconds and then go out, this means the key has been recognised and the engine can be started. If your doors will not lock or unlock then it is probably more likely to be the sensor in the overhead roof console.
