Its not my car.....
I've spotted a nice looking Scenic on
which i'm interested in purchasing.
Its in excellent condition, low mileage, 12 months MOT and was
well maintained by its mechanic owner.
Some important info' such as engine size was missing from the listing so I asked the buyer a couple of questions regarding the engine and any history of cambelt replacement.
Regarding the cambelt question this was the reply I received,
''Its not my car, its my uncles who's passed away''
What are the legal implications of purchasing a vehicle in this situation?
Surely it would be sensible and less complicated to send the log book off and have the vehicle registered in the vendors name if it was theirs to sell.....
