Lots of reasons for rear brakes being down on power.
Lo pads or sticking pads probably most common.
Seized callipers, or leaking or self adjust bu55erred also common
So nothing you've said jumps out as being strange and doubt it would surprise any of us if new callipers needed along with pads.
You can normally get good idea from looking at pads when the system opened up
