Thumbs up Renault Laguna II - Phase 1 - Engines - Engine Error Code says heater plugs faulty ?

I have a friend who is a mechanic and he has recently purchased the Sykes-Pickavant diagnostic equipment. I think its a proper professional one that cost him !

Anyway I had the g/f's 2002 Laguna dCi in his garage one night and he wanted to try out his new kit on a Renault so he plugged it into mine.

It came up with a fault about the heater plugs

He tried clearing it but the next time we started it the fault just came back!

However, the car always seems to start fine even from cold so my question is do I need to get the heater plugs checked out? Are there any known problems with them? Will it do the car any harm driving it in the meantime?

Car is Aug 2002 with 68k miles.

Any help/advice appreciated.
