Re: renault trafic

What age is your Trafic? Does it do it on the flat, downhill, or going up an incline? I take it you mean a shudder from the engine and not the steering? My camper has engine shudder at exactly the same speed especially when pulling uphill. It feels like the timing advance is slightly out. Does your engine fire up instantly from cold? I've read that it may be the Crank Sensor on its way out ... I've bought a new one but havn't fitted it yet so I can't say whether this may improve things. I've also read that you can rotate the distributor if the rotor arm isn't 'firing' on TDC to correct the timing. Other than that the advance/retard is controlled by the circuits in the ignition module
(bring back CB points I say ).
