i need the three rear bumper inserts as i mess up on fitting parking sensor, the factory marking is too low
40cm,the sensor need to be minimum 50cm from ground, i been qouted £160 for 3 piece of plastic, can anyone get it cheaper? or recommend parking sensors tat works from 40cm?
You might be able to get optional collars that angle the sensors upwards slightly. This will stop them from seeing the ground when there's nothing behind you. Failing that, take them out, put a small smear of Araldite behind the rim of the sensor so that the bottom won't sit quite flush to the bumper, then when the glue has set, pop the sensors back in.
As a last resort, just live with the fact that you'll get the long range warning beep when there's nothing behind you. I had to fit the ones on my last car too low and ended up with this situation. They still gave a perfectly good warning when I was approaching an object.
