Its worth taking a few minutes to do this.
Hi there, I realise that for the most of us, we probably do this to some extent anyway, but thought during this cold snap its worth mentioning....
- Before getting into the car (if its been frosty) give the wipers a gentle pull off the windscreen just to ensure that they aren't frozen on. Saves risking the wiper blades and/or electrical failure on the wiper motor side.
- NEVER be tempted to pour warm water over a frozen windscreen - I've seen someone do that, and they looked a right prat trying to claim it was a stonechip...
- Always ensure that your windows are clear before heading off - the police won't appreciate your Time Management skills when they pull you over.
- Lastly, your battery is your best friend, get your engine running before using your heated seats/rear window, etc.
The way I see it, following the above checklist, may
make you a little later for work, but it saves a lot of time/money in the end
Teaching my Granny to suck eggs, I know.
This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
