Its worth taking a few minutes to do this.

Hi there, I realise that for the most of us, we probably do this to some extent anyway, but thought during this cold snap its worth mentioning....
  1. Before getting into the car (if its been frosty) give the wipers a gentle pull off the windscreen just to ensure that they aren't frozen on. Saves risking the wiper blades and/or electrical failure on the wiper motor side.
  2. NEVER be tempted to pour warm water over a frozen windscreen - I've seen someone do that, and they looked a right prat trying to claim it was a stonechip...
  3. Always ensure that your windows are clear before heading off - the police won't appreciate your Time Management skills when they pull you over.
  4. Lastly, your battery is your best friend, get your engine running before using your heated seats/rear window, etc.
The way I see it, following the above checklist, may make you a little later for work, but it saves a lot of time/money in the end.

Teaching my Granny to suck eggs, I know.

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
