welcome to the forum. !st what age is your Clio (it's helpfull if you add that in the drives a...). How old is the battery ? The connectors to the starters are sometimes iffy on Clios so worth checking, also make sure all the earth straps in the engine bay are tight, especially the earth and positive to the battery, mine often need tightening once in a while. ps that light is the ECU warning light, it means a fault has occured and should have been logged on the system, not sure if it doubles as the immobiliser light on your car though. An auto electrician should be able to read the codes if you still get the light flashing.
