Petrol Smell Sorted!!!

Finally got the petrol smell on my Laguna sorted today. The garage said that one of the fuel pipes feeding the engine looked like someone had been trying to pull it off!!!!

Now the car has had this smell since I got it bout 3 weeks ago. Dont know if this is the case, but as the fuel gauge reads all the time on it, maybe someone has tried to drain it when its been full????? Its in the garage here, but I know it used to be parked outside.
Just pleased its fixed, been driving me mad, might get some improved MPG now as well!!
Currently in davieb's garage:
1996 Renault Laguna 2.0 RT, and a Vectra SRi 130
